Introduction to the Penampang Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Sabah

The Penampang Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PCCCI) was founded in 1996, co-initiated by a group of Chinese business leaders who were enthusiastic about commercial enterprises and concerned with social development. Through years of development and heritage, the Chamber has become one of the most representative Chinese business organizations in the Penampang district of Sabah, and is also one of the 25 affiliated chambers under the Sabah and Labuan United Chinese Chambers of Commerce.

Currently, the Chamber has nearly 300 members, registered by business entities, with members coming from various industrial and commercial sectors. The Management Committee actively promotes chamber affairs, business exchanges, and community services through various committees and working groups.

In 1998, the Chamber purchased a three-story shoplot in the Penampang New World Commercial District to serve as its permanent clubhouse, featuring an office, a conference room, and a hall, providing a platform for members to conduct chamber affairs, network, and host activities. The ground floor and second floor are rented out, and the rental income is used to support the Chamber’s daily administration and the development of chamber affairs.

For thirty years, the Chamber has consistently upheld the spirit of “Uniting the Business Community, Serving Society,” actively connecting the commercial sectors, the government, and all levels of society. It plays a role as a bridge between the business community and the government, dedicating itself to safeguarding members’ rights, promoting business exchanges, and driving community development.
